Our home is an ANCIENT STONE FARMHOUSE, a silent witness to the centuries gone by, dating back to the early 1700s. Carefully preserved, it retains the rustic soul and timeless elegance of the original architecture.
The farmhouse is located within a farm, from which it takes its name, managed according to the best soil and biodiversity management practices, and home to educational, cultural and humanitarian projects.
Natural and traditional materials, chosen with care, blend harmoniously with the surrounding environment, in full respect of the principles of bio-building.
We are in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, immersed in an evocative landscape, two kilometers from the “Way of the Gods”, where the eye gets lost among breathtaking views and dense woods of oaks, ash trees and chestnut trees, historical and archaeological sites that bear witness to the ancient routes between Bologna and Florence, which is why the Way is famous all over the world.
The privileged position on the ridge, between Val di Sambro and Val di Setta, offers unique views and the chance to enjoy the beauty of both valleys.
Guests have access to a spacious room, where we serve natural breakfasts, almost always km 0, with a stone fireplace and a relaxation/reading corner.
For main meals or “snacks”, there is self-catering in a characteristic rustic-style kitchen, equipped with an oven, induction cooktop,
refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, kitchen utensils, kettle and espresso machine.
In the garden, it is completed by a delightful stone wood-fired oven and a large dining area (for summer) with umbrella, table and chairs. This is the area dedicated to barbecues and old-style pizzas!
If you would like to know our guests’ opinions, we invite you to search for "Oasi Acquafresca Monzuno" on the main search engines.
Please note: we live with our beloved big dog on the top floor, so we cross the shared stairwell spaces with him every day to go to our apartment. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to host other animals.
